I'm a UAL Creative Computing graduate who loves fabricating. From helping
my mum build a giant spider that sat on her car for Halloween, to my
school DT projects. I've always loved working with my hands. However, it
wasn't until my final graduation project, where I built a computer-driven
kinetic sculpture, I realised that I could do this for my career.
My practice is driven by my belief that technology should be used where
needed. This lead me to create an online children's bookshop during
university, as I wanted young people across the UK to have easy access to
a bookstore catered to them. Running a business also taught me the
unglamorous but essential parts of a company: understanding cash flow,
managing budgets, communicating with suppliers etc.
Currently, I'm looking for an internship or work experience where I can
get my hands dirty. I know that materials are expensive, and I've learned
from my projects that every penny counts. I want to work alongside
experienced fabricators to build upon my technique and skills, and be an
extra pair of hands wherever you need them.
